The two characters that I am going to compare and contrast with normal people is Ralph and Jack. Ralph and Jack are almost two completely opposite characters.
Jack is an evil, sinister, war lord that preys on the week and all who stand in his way. He at one point was a "normal" person but when he was let free to do as he wanted he showed how he really was. Jack used to be a choir boy and never seemed to be any different from anybody else. He turned eventually thought after he began to form his own tribe. His first victim was Simon who was savagely beaten to death. He then ended up hunting the remainder of the people who had not joined his tribe. Jack is like a Hitler almost in that he gained the trust of people then turned the other tribe into a scapegoat and waged war on his own people. Judging by Golding's background he may have been trying to do this because this was written not long after World War II and is set during the war.
Ralph is the polar opposite of Jack. Ralph fights to restore order and to get the group rescued. He tries to avoid violence at all cost and is concentrated on what will be best for the group which is not alway what people want to do. Ralph is much like a normal person but he has a leadership attitude. He knows what has to be done and does all that is necessary to do what needs to be done for the group. He is a powerful leader unlike most people but he fights for good. He has the mentality to lead others and do what needs to be done.
Thank you this helps a lot
